These skeins are seconds because some little dark speckles accidentally got on them.  It makes a really beautiful yarn with a few speckles here and there, but it wasn't what we were going for, so it is on sale.

Prairie is our sport weight yarn in the new Natural Non-Superwash line. It’s made from incredibly soft 20.5 micron organic merino wool, making it gentle and comfortable to wear. The 3-ply construction gives your stitches beautiful definition, and it’s a great choice for sweaters and larger projects because it keeps its shape so well.  

Our variegated colors are hand-painted in small batches.  We use a random dye process that creates a yarn that is unlikely to pool or stripe. What you see in the skein is very much how the colors will blend in your finished fabric.

Prairie requires hand washing in cool water and laying flat to dry to ensure the best care for your project.
