We are excited to put together our version of the beautiful Clara Sweater.  Although the sweater pattern is written for just one color of yarn, we decided to make up a sweater with three colors.  The more color the merrier, right?

We blended the colors between color changes using the Fibonacci sequence to create more of a fade, but this is up to you.  You can knit one color after the other, blend the colors by alternating rows for an inch or so, or use another type of fade method like the Fibonacci sequence.  We have a video on Facebook that explains how to do the Fibonacci fade.  Click HERE to see the video. 

Clara is a top down sweater that is worked in the round.  It calls for a size 3 needle. 

We have three sizes available.  If you are between sizes, go with the larger size if you like a looser, swingy sweater or if you want to even make it a little longer.  Go with the smaller size if you like it a bit more fitted.  The sizes are for the finished sweater bust measurement in inches.

The pattern calls for different yarn in sport weight, but our Sublime yarn is a heavier fingering weight yarn that I often substitute for a sport weight yarn.  I found our Sublime to work to gauge using the size 3 needle called for in the pattern.  The knitted fabric using the Sublime yarn turned out beautifully and has just the perfect drape.  You will love it!

Our variegated colors are hand-painted in small batches.  We use a random dye process that creates a yarn that is unlikely to pool or stripe. What you see in the skein is very much how the colors will blend in your finished fabric.

We recommend hand washing in warm water and laying flat to dry to ensure the best care for your project.
