75% Superwash Merino Wool     25% Nylon

Simply DK is a great basic DK yarn that is both sturdy and soft.  Simply DK is a 4-ply yarn which makes it nice and round.  It has great stitch definition and knits the most beautiful cables.  The nylon gives it strength but best of all, it is still a comfortable yarn because of the soft Merino wool.  One skein would make a warm squishy hat.  It is also the perfect yarn for sweaters.  I made my 1-year-old grandson a cabled sweater for his birthday.  It's nice for children because it is machine washable, too.

Chroma is the term we use for our space-dyed yarn.  We originally dyed this up for weavers because it can make a gradient-type warp.  For other needle arts, your mileage may vary.  The yarn may possibly create a candy cane type of striping when knit into socks depending on your gauge, or it may pool.  Be open to the serendipity of the yarn. 

Gladiolus is part of our Birth Flower series and will only be dyed in August.  Once it is gone we won't be dyeing it again until next year.
